10 Most Underrated Punk Albums Ever
3. D.O.A & Jello Biafra - Last Scream Of The Missing Neighbors
Following the Dead Kennedys break-up, fans were unsure what the future held for the pioneering hardcore punk band’s members. They didn’t have to speculate for long though, as lead vocalist Jello Biafra joined forces with fellow punk band, D.O.A, in 1989.
D.O.A were already an established and respected punk group by the time Biafra had joined with several records to their name. However, the addition of his distinct vocals and song writing expertise elevated the band to new heights of punk mastery on ‘Last Scream of the Missing Neighbors’.
Notable performances from this surprisingly short record include ‘That’s Progress’, ‘Wish I Was in El Salvador’, and the 14-minute colossus, ‘Full Metal Jackoff’, which should be viewed as one of the best punk songs of the 1980’s.
