10 Most Unsubtle Rock Music Innuendos

2. Big Bottom - Spinal Tap (1984)

Spinal Tap are meant to be a parody of a classic rock band, but they embody all the ridiculous nuances of '70s and '80s rock acts with such skill that you wouldn't be remiss for thinking they were the real thing.

It says something about rock and roll that a comedy act like this is musically better than many other entries on this list. Being a parody, the references in this song weren't meant to be subtle in any capacity, but you could easily play this for someone who wasn't familiar with Spinal Tap and they would be convinced this was just another classic. It's the perfect depiction of that most sex-obsessed age of rock.

Within the confines of this song, we're treated to lyrics that compare a big bottom to a "flesh tuxedo" and the male member to a "pink torpedo". It's all utterly ridiculous but perfectly encapsulates the absurdity of certain rock groups of this era. Big Bottom has an infectiously driving bass melody and a chorus that will have you singing it's risqué lyrics in public.
