10 Musicians Who Hate Their Own Songs

1. Radiohead - Creep

This is probably the most famous case of a band having nothing but disdain for one of their own songs. Thom Yorke and co's feelings on Creep have been anything but secret, with the band unofficially renaming the song 'Crap' among themselves.

While most fans are in on it, there are those who genuinely love the song, and one of those was attending Radiohead's concert in Montreal in the mid-2000s. When they requested to hear Creep, they were met with a stern “F**k off, we’re tired of it" from Yorke. Now that's a great concert-going experience!

Creep was officially released as a single in 1992, and it quickly exploded in popularity, making the Oxfordshire band overnight sensations. However, they quickly grew tired of it and by 1998 it was all but gone from their setlists.

"It was frustrating, being judged on just that song when we felt we needed to move on," Yorke said. "We were forced on tour to support it, and it gagged us, really. We were on the verge of breaking up."

In recent few years, the band seem to have softened and now they occasionally play it live. At times, it almost seems like they are playing it ironically, with the audience and the band both being in on the joke and enjoying themselves.
