10 Notable Artists With Incomplete Catalogs On Spotify

4. Garth Brooks

Statistically the best-selling album artist in the U.S. since Nielsen began tracking music sales in the early 1990s via SoundScan, even Garth Brooks' boxed sets sell hundreds of thousands of units. In 2005, Brooks made history in the States by making his music exclusive to Wal-Mart, so that fans could not buy his music anywhere else.

Since then, Brooks has reached agreements to distribute his music via Target and Amazon, and he has launched his own branded channel on Sirius XM Radio. But the only Garth Brooks tracks you will currently find on Spotify are collaborations from the releases of other artists, including Trisha Yearwood, George Jones, Steve Wariner and Billy Joel. In turn, this not only means that nothing from 2016's Gunslinger album is available.

However, there are many Garth Brooks tributes and covers available, including Brooks Jefferson's 2015 effort Strummin' On Garth, The Country Gentlemen's Picking On Garth Brooks, Hushabye Baby's Lullaby Renditions Of Garth Brooks, and Christmas Friends' A Real Christmas Tribute To Garth Brooks. So while the original classics are not looking to be on Spotify anytime soon, Brooks songs are at least streamable within a variety of genres.
