10 Perfect 2000s Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

2. Panic Prevention – Jamie T (2007)

Jamie T was the guy you listened to when you wanted a little more street cred. You just felt cooler listening to his south London accent talk about all the exciting and confusing aspects of adolescence. It was the perfect coming of age record. The album flipped between expressions of young bravado, confessions of teenage insecurity and evocative descriptions of drinking on the streets.

Back when half a can of Stella was enough to give you all the confidence of Liam Gallagher, this album made up the soundtrack to your teenage escapades.

This was low fi indie music at its best, at times Jamie T was accompanied by a backing band and others it was just him and a twangy acoustic guitar. But no matter the level of personal, every track exemplified T's talent for conveying the image of British youth culture.

This album was full of tracks you and your mates would belt out at the park, sloshing cans of beer over one another as you all tried to feign a taste for booze. If you were a teen when his album came out then a re-listen will fill you with nostalgia and if you've never heard it, it's time you did.

With this album, Jamie T was a voice of his generation.
