10 Rock Albums That Peak With The First Song

3. Boston - Boston

Everybody knows Boston for that one song.

And before we continue, don't come in here with your smart alec replies of "What about Amanda?" and "Actually, my favourite is Corporate America from the 2002 album of the same name?"

You're lying to us and you're lying to yourself.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if they've only got one song, because what a song it is.

More Than a Feeling is one of the best radio rock ballads of all time, no argument. The way it segues in and out of its soft, wistful verses and head-banging choruses is masterful and the themes of getting caught up in memories of the past are as bittersweet as they are universal.

Not only did More Than a Feeling kick off a Boston album, it kicked off their entire career! This was the very first song on the very first LP the band produced, which was self-titled. Pack up and go home, lads, you've completed music on your first try!

Whilst a little schmaltzy for some, it's undeniable that More Than a Feeling overshadowed everything else Boston ever did, for better or for worse.
