10 Rock Bands That Have Two Frontmen

4. Oasis

The end of the '90s really turned into a wasteland for most of rock and roll. After the sad death of the grunge movement left most rockers feeling short-changed, something even more adventurous known as Britpop started to make rumblings out of the UK. As opposed to the traditional acts like Blur and Suede happening around the same time, no other act had as much charisma (and drama) as the Gallagher Brothers.

Since day one, Oasis was practically a ticking time bomb with both Noel and Liam Gallagher working at odds with each other. Despite the massive amount of rancor they had towards one another, the way Liam would interpret Noel's songs in his own Mancunian punk way sent tracks like Live Forever and Rock and Roll Star into the upper echelons of rock music. Once they started getting a taste of success though, Noel's voice came out in full force when he penned one of the greatest stadium anthems on Don't Look Back In Anger.

Ever since Be Here Now, nearly every other Oasis track was sung by Noel, bringing a much more worn-in approach to vocals than the usual shouty pitches that Liam was known for. While people like Bonehead Arthurs and Alan White deserve their props for their contributions to the band, the real draw of any Oasis song comes from the sound of the Gallagher Brothers moving against each other.
