10 Terrible Rock Songs By Legendary Rock Bands

There seems to be a bit of a time limit on most good punk rock. While there have been many exceptions to the rule, most of the best punks out there normally pump out their prime material when they reach their 20's, where they're still angry and ready to take on the world no matter what the cost. Though people like Bad Religion and Green Day managed to grow up as the years went on, The Offspring were really in bad shape on We Never Have Sex Anymore.

That's not to say that the Offspring can't do joke songs when they want to. Hell, even back on their days on Epitaph, there was a lot of tongue in cheek humor in some of their earlier work, like the down and out loser in Self Esteem or the poser cool kid on Pretty Fly for a White Guy. On this song though, this feels more sad than anything else, with Dexter Holland sounding like he's struggling to get the notes out as he goes.

Since this album also went through production hell to even get made, what comes off as a bit of a joke feels a lot more worrying now that we have the full album. This isn't just a bad joke song by Offspring's usual standards. This feels like they're grasping at straws because they don't have anything else to work with.
