9 . Pontius And Fink's Original Move To L.A.

Bassist Cubbie Fink (far left in the picture above) and drummer Mark Pontius (middle) moved out to L.A. where they would eventually join Mark Foster in his attempt to make it in the music industry and form a band. But, it was not the original reason they moved out there; both of them wanted to attend film school.

It would be through his time at film school that Fink would meet and befriend Foster, as the latter was also attending film school, but decided that it was not what he wanted to do. Pontius, originally from Florida, had also moved to L.A. to be in the film industry, but decided to join Foster and eventually Fink in Foster the People.
