10 Worst Performances In Rock Music History

3. Creed Rocks Illinois

Rock and roll has never been the easiest job in the world to do. As much as it might seem like a walk in the park, you have to make sure that everything you do 24 hours a day is going towards those few hours onstage where you can give the crowd your all from one song to the next. And when you come out there half-assing it, don't think that your fans aren't going to call you out on it either.

Around the time of Creed's ascent, things were really getting out of hand for Scott Stapp, who was deep into drug addiction and getting pretty strung out when they took to the stage. Once the tour hit Illinois though, it turned out to be the point of no return, with Scott sitting in the center of the stage, barely croaking out the lyrics, and at one point passing out during the set because he was so messed up.

It's all in the name of rock and roll, right? Wrong. After having to sit through the minimum requirement for the show, a group of fans actually decided to sue the band for their lackluster performance, alleging that what they saw was nowhere near what the band was capable of. Let this be a lesson for all the up and coming musicians who think that they can drink before a show. This is still a job, and if you're not up to it, your fans might not be so sympathetic to your needs.
