10 Worst Songs On Classic Albums

1. Run For Your Life - Beatles

After years of being in Beatlemania, the Beatles were dying to break out of the traditional pop rock format that had found themselves in. Coming off of Help!, the newer tracks that were coming from John Lennon and Paul McCartney were of a different breed, which turned into one of the best albums of their career on Rubber Soul. Even though the song themselves were amazing, the sessions didn't really get off on the right foot.

Instead of the future classics like Drive My Car or Norwegian Wood, the first song they tackled was Run For Your Life, which was a relic that Lennon wrote at the start of the Beatles. While this is still a decent Beatles cut, it stands out like a sore thumb in comparison to the rest of the album. Across every other song, the Fab Four were dissecting love as a much more adult subject matter, like the fractured relationship in You Won't See Me and the union of In My Life.

On the other hand, this song's admission of wanting to kill your lady love if she cheats on you comes off as incredibly meat-headed when put against the rest of the material. Even Lennon himself wasn't enamored with the track, saying that it was one of the laziest cuts he had ever made. They may have tried to hide in at the end of the record, but after George Harrison's If I Needed Someone, you really can just shut the record off.
