10 Worst Villains Of Rock And Roll Music
9. Norman Sheffield
As far as rock and roll is concerned, the managers should be the last person that people want to think about. In a business that's all about the grand spectacle taking place on stage, why the hell would you want to focus on the man in the background in a 3 piece suit talking about numbers? Well, sometimes you have to pay attention when they turn into people like Normal Sheffield.
Being the main manager for Queen in the early part of their career, Freddie Mercury wasn't a shy about how the band were not being treated well by their strongest ally in the early days. After coming off of the massive success of the album Sheer Heart Attack and the single Killer Queen, the band found out that they were broke, with Sheffield investing the money and sinking the band further and further into debt.
Though Queen eventually recovered from this hiccup with the massive hit a Night at the Opera, Freddie didn't miss the opportunity to call out his former manager on the song Death on Two Legs, saying how he never had a heart and how small of a person he really was. Even though a lot of the greatest bands fall apart because of business, it always turns out better when you're able to pick out the one shady character in the crowd.
