"It's All Too Much" seems to be one of those songs that Beatles fans find last. As a result, it has become extremely underrated over the years what with fans discovering it late and other listeners not even knowing of its existence.
It's easy to see why people don't know about it, after all, it is hidden underneath a lot of other nonsense on the Yellow Submarine album. But that's the beauty of the album, it's so ridiculous that it works. Something only The Beatles could ever pull off.
The track was also written during the notorious days of hallucinogenics with George Harrison using it as inspiration for the music and the lyrics. In fact, it was later revealed that Harrison wrote the track as a celebration of his unique and interesting experiences with the drug.
