14 Best Synthwave Albums You MUST Listen To

10. Gunship - Dark All Day (2018)

Formed back in 2014 by Fightstar members Alex Westaway and Dan Haigh, off of the back of the band's hiatus in 2010, Gunship came out strong with first single, Fly for Your Single. The accompanying self-titled debut album a year ago cemented their place in the genre. Featuring collaborations on hit single Tech Noir with previous bandmate Charlie Simpson, as well as a spoken introduction by the horror master, John Carpenter, they could only go onwards and upwards.

Which they certainly did with sophomore album Dark All Day in 2018. Moving in a more darker tone than the first album, with tracks like Drone Racing League and Thrasher portraying a heavier sound, DAD showcased the sway in Gunship's collaborative efforts. With the likes of Kat Von D and Indiana providing beautiful vocals, it only gets better with the inclusion of Tim Capello.

"Who's Tim Capello?", you might think. Well, if you've ever seen The Lost Boys, and you can remember the band scene, there's your answer. He's that greased up sax man, bringing the 80's cheese to this incredible title track.
