15 Alternative Christmas Songs That Will Still Make You Feel Festive

13. A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss) - Glasvegas

Get the hankies out for this one. Despite all of their early hype and bluster, Glasvegas still managed to surprise us all with this stunning Christmas tearjerker. James Hall and co. released this track and EP immediately following their debut and created one of the most beautiful winter songs you€™re ever likely to hear.

Resplendent with gentle piano and an aura of winter sheen hugging the production, Hall€™s vocal is one of innocent hope about the uncertain future. His thick Glaswegian accent glides and cracks over a hypnotic melody that segues into heavenly choruses. If you don€™t bubble into your mulled wine after hearing this for the first time you don€™t deserve any Christmas presents. An unexpected festive gem.

Chris James Peet says hello. His interests include hoping for the best and sitting in chairs. He much prefers moaning to counting his blessings and suffers fools gladly. He also likes to look out of the window and check what's in the fridge but he hates standing up, dripping taps and reality.
