15 Facts You Didn't Know About Blink-182

5. Mark Is More Than Just A Great Bassist.

This might be an obvious one, but most people don't know the half of what Mark Hoppus does away from his guitar. He may be a killer songwriter and loveable bassist, but he's also seen great success in writing and producing for other bands.

Hoppus has grown a pretty solid producing portfolio over the years, but one of the best records he's helped bring to life is 'Commit This To Memory' as well as 'My Dinosaur Life' by the iconic emo punk band, Motion City Soundtrack.

MCS were the pop-punk band for the nerds and the awkward kids that just couldn't relate to the snottiness of a New Found Glory, the gothy sex appeal of an MCR or the coolness that blink-182 would come to own. The albums that Hoppus produced spawned a number of bangers including the unavoidable staple song of the 2000s, 'Everything Is Alright'.

Although he hasn’t produced anything since 2016, he’s also got records from New Found Glory, Shai Hulud and Fall Out Boy under his belt. And if that’s not enough, he’s co-written with Less Than Jake, All Time Low and McBusted. Does that man ever stop working?!
