8 Massive Song Cliches Everyone Is Tired Of Hearing

1. The “Emotional” Cover Song

One of the fundamental mistakes that seems to have developed in the last few years is that a great way to cover a song is to make it incredibly emotional. Take any song that isn't at its core slow, stripped back and super sensitive then make it all those things. Great cover, right? So profound and really shows off how deep the person performing it is...

Unfortunately, this is now extremely common when it comes to covers. It wouldn't even be a problem if it was a once-in-a-while thing, honestly. But it's so frequent as to become nauseating.

For example, you've only to take a look at the likes of Jack White's cover of Love Is Blindness, Beyonce's re-do of her own song Crazy In Love for Fifty Shades Of Grey, Daughter's cover of Get Lucky...the list truly goes on and on.
