9 One-Hit Wonders We're Glad Never Had A Second Hit

3. D4L – Laffy Taffy

Atlanta hip-hop is legendary. OutKast, Usher, Childish Gambino. It’s a shame that D4L is a stain on the cities name. Their 2005 single Laffy Taffy has a horrendous, stilted beat, and questionable lyrics. Yet somehow it managed to be the US number one song for a week in January 2006.

It’s the sort of song you’d get sent over Bluetooth, only to delete straight after as it sounds like it was composed on the phone that sent it to you. Laffy Taffy doesn’t deserve the term dirty rap, because the rap is sh*t. This song makes Crank That (Soulja Boy) look good.

Questionable euphemisms about candy was always going to have a short shelf life.
