Such experimentation should always be championed though, and as it's all meant to be taken as a conceptual piece - each song contributing to a tale of a wandering soul searching for purpose, allegorical to Myles' mindset at the time - it'll really grow on you if you let it. Why you need it: Breathe Again contains one of Myles' most impressive vocal displays, charting a descending series of notes that metaphorically matches the song. As our 'protagonist' finds the will to carry on, the lyrics "Before the end, I know I'll breathe again, to find my way" are sung in such a meaningful way, the last word goes higher and higher until you're sure the human body can't produce such a note - until it goes higher still.
