Download Festival 2015: 11 Heavy Tracks Muse Need To Play
1. Stockholm Syndrome
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXN9acC9edUIronically for a song listed here, Stockholm Syndrome's concept was originally a lot different to how the song ended up being recorded. It was intended to be a quiet song that gradually progressed and used its muted sound almost as an instrument in its own right, but then just before recording it was given more weight with a massive riff in the chorus and at the end inspired by System Of A Down.
That likeness is really enough to insist that the song needs to be played at Download. If it doesn't play right at the end of the set (which might be reserved for something more recognisable on away territory, then it needs to come pretty late for full effect. Especially with the end of the song in mind.
And if there's even more of a pertinent reason to play, the title concerns falling in love against your wishes, which might just happen to some of the cynics who suggested Download is not the place for Muse.
