Every Bob Dylan Album Ranked Worst To Best

14. Modern Times (2006)

Modern Times saw Dylan continue to gain the level of acclaim and popularity he had been lacking since the mid-70s.

With strong focus on rock and moody blues, Modern Times opens with the upbeat Thunder On The Mountain and moves easily into songs about love (Spirit On The Water), death (When The Deal Goes Down), and his own public image (Nettie Moore).

High-tempo and intensely memorable, Modern Times has some issues, including its controversy surrounding uncredited choruses that don't always mesh with Dylan's otherwise impressive verses, but there's more than enough there to make it a solid and welcome addition to Dylan's extensive back catalogue.
