Every Green Day Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

6. The Forgotten - ¡Tré!

Back to the 2012 trifecta and the album that it was all leading up to.

By the time ¡Tré! came out in December, fans had gotten pretty fed up of Green Day albums, resulting in the lowest sales figures of the three. At least people who did buy the album were treated a decent send-off, as ¡Tré! closed on the piano-heavy ballad, The Forgotten.

Over the top of melancholy chords and swelling strings, Billie Joe sings some beautiful lines about feeling lost in life and how the power of love can be overwhelming, but it should not be ignored.

It gets a bit sappy in places, but it's still a nice look at how much Green Day had matured from the days of singing about self-pleasure and naming their albums after bowel movements.

Speaking of bowel movements, this song was chosen to appear on the soundtrack for Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Please, don't hold that against it.
