4. Far And Away - Slash (Apocalyptic Love)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ5vVhTBLGA Oh Myles God At: 4:40 Switching up timeframes again we're back with Slash and The Conspirators band, and Myles' most recently recorded high-note. Although Apocalyptic Love is filled with everything from the more staccato-style delivery of One Last Thrill to the very Mayfield Four-sounding Not For Me, it's Far And Away's last minute or so where both Myles and Slash crank up their signature flair machines, coming together to create one of the best moments on the entire album. With the latter stretching and screeching a fantastic solo that sounds like it's trying to break free of the song underneath, it frees Myles up to compliment the idea by revisiting his escalating technique of going higher throughout. Even though the timestamp is marked for 4:40, there's an incredible section at 4:53 where Kennedy seems to break through into another dimension of singing prowess, finishing the final chorus in style and proving after all these years he can still teach his younger self a thing or two.
