Sonisphere 2014: 10 Reasons It's Going To Be Festival Of The Year

2. It Has Something To Prove

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hr83Gnx-3M Sonisphere 2012 was booked to be a bit of a disaster. The line-up was announced with Kiss, Faith No More and Queen (featuring American Idol's Adam Lambert) headlining. This was not a great move for the festival, as past events had seen the Big Four featuring Metallica, Megadeth Slayer and Anthrax, plus Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Biffy Clyro and Rammstein all in the bag. It was soon cancelled due to a 'weak economy and some back luck', then took another year off in 2013, as Download ruled the UK metal festival market for two years in a row. However this brings us to 2014, in which Sonisphere has returned and €“ armed with one hell of a line-up €“ the battle will continue. Sonisphere has something to prove; mainly that it belongs in the same breath as it's competition again. 2014 is the year that this will happen.
