4. The Undercard Is Just As Exciting As The Main Stages
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Avj5QO-RgCc Sure, Metallica, Iron Maiden and The Prodigy are the main attractions, but the undercard is what a festival is really about. There's nothing better in a drunken stupor than discovering your favourite new band whilst trying to get noticed by hanging from the beams of one of the tents, or crawling across people's hands to reach the sound desk. The Sonisphere undercard is no exception. For example, Black Spiders are possibly the perfect band to watch while Stone Cold'ing beers and Max Raptor's UK punk always solicits a rowdy response. Reel Big Fish will prove that they're the best ska-punk band on earth whilst sound-tracking the biggest skank-a-thon this side of Madness, and Anti Flag will relentlessly bring the power of pure pace and flailing limbs to the fray. As well as this, there's 90s legends Kerbdog, Blitz Kids, stoner rock geniuses Electric Wizard, one of the most joyously silly live bands ever in Ghost and Dog Eat Dog will be playing their classic album All Boro Kings from start to finish. All of this on the undercard! The best acts at the festival are rarely the headliners. Take a look around.
