Much like rock, it's hard to define 'dance music' these days, given that it is an umbrella term for so many different subgenres. Krewella, a three-piece from Chicago consisting of singing/songwriting sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf and producer Kris Trindl (Rain Man), have been doing well for themselves in recent months with releases incorporating a fusion of such subgenres, including dubstep, drum and bass and house. Though an EP, 'Play Hard', did reasonably well on the dance circuit last year, the trio's biggest success to date has been September's 'Get Wet', which peaked at #8 on the mainstream American charts and featured songs such as the addictive 'Alive', 'Live For The Night' and 'Dancing With The Devil', which co-starred Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and Travis Barker of Blink 182. Strangely, it omitted works such as 'Legacy' with Nicky Romero, but should prove to be a milestone for the group as they continue to create new music in 2014. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-gYJBsln-w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biaEW_-7bHo
