7. Garfunkel And Oates
Garfunkel and Oates are kind of difficult to categorize, if only because of how ridiculously talented they are. They're a pair of actresses who started a comedy music duo in their free time, where they both sing and play instruments. Their real names, shockingly enough, are not actually Garfunkel and Oates, but Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome (you might recognize Kate from Raising Hope, or either actress from their guest appearances on The Big Bang Theory). Together, they've created several hilariously clever songs, ranging in topic from the insufferability of pregnant women to the hypocrisy of religious girls who lord their virginal superiority over everyone else while finding a loophole in the rules pertaining to sodomy. You can watch all of their songs on Youtube, and they've also just started a new television show on IFC which is fittingly called Garfunkel and Oates, about a pair of young women trying to break into the world of comedy.
