10 Comedy Podcasts You Need To Listen To Right Now

1. Elis James And John Robins

An abridged version of their hit Radio X Saturday show, the Elis James and John Robins podcast is a gut-bustingly funny insight into the weekly misadventures of the two stand-up comedians that just happens to be broadcasted to the nation.

Establishing an entire universe within the Podcast (fans of the show are known as 'Podcast Devotees', or 'PCD's for short), the duo have established a fan-friendly parlance in their three years on-air together, which acts as encouragement to go back through the extensive archives to listen to every prior broadcast (making you a 'retro 1er' when up to speed, or a 'retro 1er elect' when you're still on the way).

Alongside a raft of silly features such as 'Tick off a Taste' (in which both presenters eat something they've never had before, thus 'ticking off' that taste) and 'Humblebrag of the Week' (which sees anonymous Facebook and Twitter gloaters lambasted for their social media arrogance), the conversations also regularly turn to Elis' love of just about anything Welsh and John's unwavering devotion to the band Queen.

A heartfelt friendship exists between the two, which effortlessly extends to the listener through their weekly patter and improvised 'riffs', making the podcast a required weekly indulgence.
