6. A British Man Pulls A Sickie, Wrestles A Shark
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMFUt8AIxEk Paul Marshallsea was relaxing on an Australian beach when he saw a shark swimming near the other tourists. He waded into the water, grabbed it by its body, and dragged it out to sea, away from a group of children. It was a moment of real heroism, and a little part of Paul was probably hoping someone was filming, and that it would go viral. Unfortunately for him, his wishes came true. You see, Paul was on leave for "work-induced stress" from his job as a charity organiser at a Welsh youth club. He'd travelled to Australia unbeknownst to his employers, but, thanks to news of his exploits, became very knownst to them while he was there. Their letter of dismissal makes the not unreasonable point that a man well enough to not only fly across the world but wrestle sharks whilst there could probably handle a few bored kids at a club. Batman knew it, Spider-Man knew it, and now Paul Marshallsea knows it: heroism comes at a high price.
