3. Neo
So, there's this thing called the 'extracellular matrix', which is the space in between all of our cells. The Matrix of movie lore is simulation of human life produced by sentient machines where the body heat and and electrical activity are harvested to keep the machines up and running. Neo, the main character of the Matrix movie trilogy, and his reality-bending pals have been given the honor of being immortalized as major proteins that can be found within our extracellular matrices, subsequently named Neo (neyo), Trinity(tyn), Morpheus(mey),Nyobe (nyo) and Cypher (cyr). These proteins provide structural and chemical support for the extracellular matrix. See where we're going with this? Neo moves in the extracellular matrix? Oh, those scientists know how to have fun.
