10 Inventions That Will Make Harry Potter A Reality

8. Flying Cars = Flying Cars

Just like in Mr Weasley's flying Ford Anglia, could too one day soar above the clouds in your very own flying car.

A few companies out there are in the late stages of development for commercially available flying cars. These have to work equally well both on the road and in the air, although, sadly, none of them have the charming vintage vibe of the sky blue Ford Anglia (most of them tend to look like airborne metal dolphins).

A company called Terrafugia has recently gained approval from the Federal Aviation Association of its flying car named The Transition, a super modern car/plane hybrid.

Another company called AeroMobil have developed a prototype flying car that would fit into any standard parking space, uses regular petrol, and can be used on the road like any other car. TheĀ AeroMobil can also take off and land using any grass strip or pavement over a couple of hundred metres.

Now, combine this technology with the cloaking devices that we discussed earlier and we could even have a magical flying care with an invisibility booster (faulty or not).

Just stay away from psychotic, violent trees and you should be fine.
