10 Joe Rogan Experience Guests Who Have Died

6. John McAfee (1945 - 2021)

The legacy of John McAfee is a controversial, swirling mess of tax evasion charges, illegal firearm possession, allegations of drug trafficking and even several suspected murders.

McAfee came to prominence after creating the first publicly available anti-virus software in the late 1980s. Since then, he'd been involved in all manor of shady activities with his life taking as many twists and turns as a HBO drama series. It wont be long before some production company or another jumps on the chance to make money from this guy's story...

Showtime's Gringo: The Dangerous Life Of John McAfee documentary barely scratched the surface of all the many mysteries surrounding this guy, and even that contained some pretty disturbing revelations about his life.

His list of encounters with various authorities around the world only gives credence to the notion that this guy was some kind of international criminal. McAfee appeared on an early Joe Rogan podcast (episode 290), where he discussed some of the many allegations against him.

The events surrounding his death were also mysterious, as McAfee was found dead by apparent suicide in a Spanish prison cell just hours after his extradition to the US had been arranged. Due to the similarities with Jeffery Epstein's death, a number of conspiracy theories have sprung up surronding it.
