1. How Would You React To Someone Abusing A Dog In Public?

You€™ll be glad to hear though that it was a toy dog and not a real one dog! The fake dog was partially obscured by a black bag with sound effects of distressed dog noises played on a boom box from inside the bag. The video then shows a number of scenarios in which the €œdog€ was abused, with the abuser punching, kicking, throwing and at one point even using a baseball bat to beat the €œdog€ with. Thankfully some of the people in the video did help however unfortunately most people ignored the abuser and let him get on with what he was doing. Perhaps most sickening however was the fact that as many people joined in the abuse as those who helped, with the last person seen throwing the €œdog€ onto the road. What the experiment does well €“ It highlights the cruelty some people will let others get away with when it comes to abusing animals, however given the huge flaw with the experiment I hesitate to say that it does this €œwell€. Possible Flaws €“ This experiment probably had the biggest flaw of any on the list and that is the fact that the dog looked very fake. Therefore it is entirely possible that some of the people who helped to abuse the €œdog€ recognised it as a fake and perhaps thought they were helping the guy in the video pull off a funny prank. Of course given that some people thought it was a real enough dog to attempt to defend it suggests this may not be the case and the people who helped abuse the dogs might still be complete scumbags after all.
