10 Problems Only People From Pittsburgh Would Understand

7. Donnie Iris At Every Local Event

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyTu_ZdcBCo Pittsburgh native Donnie Iris made a bit of a name for himself in the pop rock scene of the 1980s. Rather than leaving for the glory of Los Angeles or New York, Iris and his band (The Cruisers), have been a fixture on the Pennsylvania touring circuit for 35 years. He is such a 'Burgh loyalist that he even named his old band The Jaggerz. If you are a Pittsburgher, and you don't like the songs "Ah! Leah!" and "Love is Like a Rock", any live, semi-major music event will be tough to sit through. Iris manages to get booked at every festival, fund raiser, open mic and parade in the tri-county area. If you're going to stick around long enough, you're better off just liking the man known by the locals as "Dahnnie Ahriss".
