After the furore that surrounded the casting of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, comic book fans were naturally curious as to who would play the Dark Knight's arch-nemesis, the Joker. No one could have predicted Jared Leto, even this list, which named his Dallas Buyers Club co-star Matthew McConaughey as an ideal fit for the Clown Prince of Crime. Still fun speculation though.
