10 Things That Should Appear On The New £1 Coin

8. A Pint

The classic pint of beer is drunk 15,837,785,877 times each year in the UK with the average British drinker downing over 1,000 pints in a year too. This surely cannot be a coincidence that it is arguably the most popular cool beverage in Britain and you'd be right in saying so, because it isn't a coincidence. It's a tradition, you go down to the pub on a Friday evening with your friends and you have a pint whilst catching up on the events that have come to be throughout the week. Although celebrating the beginning of the weekend by having a beer isn't strictly speaking a 100% british thing to do, it certainly features prominently in the British culture. What better way to spend a pound with a pint engraved on it too? Happy Hour would suddenly become even happier with a pile of 'beer coins' slowly appearing behind the bar, similar to the bit-coin craze. Why not? Sadly the British government couldn't possibly endorse the drinking of alcohol, especially when underage children tend to use £1 coins too. It could be seen as an encouragement for them to begin drinking and rightly should not be used.
