10 Things That Should Appear On The New £1 Coin

7. The Bearskin

More commonly known as the "big fluffy hats those geezers at Buckingham Palace wear", the Bearskin and its bearers (get it?) are arguably the most memorable thing tourists get from visiting London. Their immaculate attire, unbroken gaze and giant cap made of pure Canadian brown bear skin are many of the reasons why tourists obsess about them. Maybe the government should pay for their hefty £650 price tag using £1 coins with the icon engraved on them. Although it could be quite awkward to simply show a large fluffy cylinder on a coin, the Queen we feel would deeply enjoy having such a household icon branded onto such a household item. Why not? Sadly, the Bearskin isn't actually that recognisable amongst the majority of the British population itself and many people might not think that it represents Britain enough along with its culture and ethics. But you have to admit that being reminded on a daily basis of the big fluffy hats everyone is just dying to stroke does sound like a nice idea.
