Now is the winter of our discontent. Such cleverly crafted words could only come from the King of words himself, William Shakespeare. Renowned throughout the world as the most successful and most performed playwright, William is arguably the most famous British writer and his quotations and plays are known by most if not all of the country. Although the authenticity of William Shakespeare's work is still questioned to this day, whoever wrote them should still feel proud to have gifted our nation and the world with such elegance in writing. Why? William is an iconic figure in the literary world who put England on the map with his comedies and tragedies. His work is now compulsory in the education system and features strongly in our day-to-day culture. Up until now he has received no real congratulations or thanks for his work or for the deep insight he has given us into the human mind and its emotions.
