Hugh Hefner is arguably proof that there are immortals walking among us, as the Playboy founder seems to have been alive since the time of the conquistadors, so it is only to be expected that the man has been the victim of countless death hoaxes since the internet age. In July 2011, a report began creeping into the media that the 85 year old had suffered a heart attack and died, no doubt surrounded by billions of his housemates. But Hef headed to Twitter in order to prove his grasp on vitality knows no bounds, first by telling us that the rumours were "greatly exaggerated", funny in itself, but a picture posted by the man the following month was a brilliant example of tongue-in-cheek exploiting of the media. You see, Hef joined in on the planking phenomenon that swept the internet in 2011, only his picture had to be titled "Hef not dead, just planking." Again, this man was 85 at the time. Kudos.
