Just so you could say "we already vanquished that demon. Next." Vanquish. That word was used a lot over the duration of the show and it never got old, not once. You would love having magic powers and the ability to chant spells and brew potions, but the chances are, you probably wouldn't be very good at it and if a demon did shimmer into your living room, your first instinct would be to cry and run away rather than think of a rhyme to kill him.
