School children around the world were educated on the definition of 'annulment' after 22 year old Britney Jean got hitched to high school sweetheart Jason Alexander at the famous Las Vegas chapel, and then, less than 55 hours later annulled it, with Britney's 'people' proclaiming it a joke that had gone too far. The annulment said Britney "lacked understanding of her actions, to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage." However in an interview with ABC Alexander announced that was "bullsh*t" stating: "She was like, 'Well, let's get married.' And I was like, 'Sure. You know, let's do this.'" If only that was the end of Britney's turbulent year as October saw her marry dancer Kevin Federline, whom she'd only met three months before. Their whirlwind romance was chronicled in their reality TV show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic which the popstar has recently said was one of the worst decisions she ever made. In the documentary, Britney: Off The Record the singer also admitted she married Kevin for the wrong reasons stating: "Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything." Unfortunately for Brit her love life is public propety, from love's young dream with Justin Timberlake, to the Fred Durst rumors - which she still denies - the time she randomly dated paparazzo Adnan Ghalib or the links with bad boy Colin Farrell, they've all been documented for the entire world to see. Britney's crazy year of 2004 was the calm before the storm and perhaps paved the way for head shaving incident and public meltdown 3 years later.
