2. Having To Work Opposite 'Younger' Shops

While the younger generation might describe Next as a store for the over 35s, there's no denying that the store does have a younger following as well as the older. Nevertheless, if your Next store is situated opposite a New Look, a Topshop, a River Island or a Zara, get ready for some shop rivalry and an intense feeling of jealousy as you watch those other employees swan into their 'trendy' stores each morning while you're dusting the Next mannequin window displays. Heading over to one of these shops on your lunch break makes you feel like a traitor to Next, and you swear everyone knows where you're from and wishes you would get back to your own boring territory.
