18 Feelings You Experience When You Give Up Smoking

15. Suddenly Homicidal

ImgurImgurYou might murder someone. Like, it just might happen. You don€™t have the control here. Smacking someone in the face for walking past you seems like a really logical thought, and you don't understand why people have started hurriedly leaving the room when you enter.

14. Filled With Burning Rage

Paramount PicturesParamount PicturesYou become accustomed to a life of despising everything and everyone, including yourself. If you work in customer service this might be time to take some holiday leave, unless you want to end up getting sacked for punching someone who just asked for directions. This phase can last from around 4 or 5 days to the rest of your life.

13. Exhausted

TumblrTumblrNobody told you that quitting smoking would mean your body only lets you sleep two hours a night. You are both so sleepy you can barely move, and so angry that you are literally seeing red. Together, this means that you are at the brink of non-functioning, but smoking withdrawal symptoms don't seem to be a legitimate reason to take a sick day. People would help you, but you already screamed at them for bringing you chocolate buttons when you specifically said you wanted a Freddo.

12. EVERYBODY IS TERRIBLE

ABCABCPeople are usually quite horrible to be around, but this is a whole new level of hatred. A combination of blood-rage and absolute exhaustion has left you pretty much unable to function, and so everything becomes a pet peeve, at best. Just remember: if someone says hello to you, slapping them is not an appropriate response.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
