12. Masks Are Scary

Unless you are a soldier or have a bad habit of walking through contaminated air space, you might be able to avoid having to force your head into a gas mask. The tight rubber mask that wraps around your head to create an airtight seal has saved many lives but if a claustrophobic has to put one on, they might consider breathing in the noxious gasses is a better alternative. Some claustrophobic soldiers have to undertake therapy to overcome their phobia of putting on a gas mask as it might someday save their lives. But it€™s not just gas masks that are a problem, motorcycle helmets are also problematic. Even the ability to lift the visor fails to disperses the feeling that your whole head is locked in a vice.
