Let's set the scene: a bare-chested man sloshes a bottle of beer down a toilet. His friends grab his legs, and lower him head first into the bowl to guzzle the alcohol upside-down. They will receive braying cheers from their online friends, before nominating a person to commit an act more obscene, dangerous or disgusting. B-e-a-utiful. Anyone who has seen the film Idiocracy will see the movie turning into reality with this recent Internet craze, which encourages FaceBook and YouTube users to post videos of themselves chugging obscene amounts of alcohol (or in some cases, other, more heinous things) and then carrying out stunts. They then nominate a friend to do the same. It's now reached a point where an Irish teenager has died taking part in the craze after necking a pint and jumping into a river. The concept of the game is simply put by one Facebook user: 'Neck your drink. Nominate another. Don't break the chain, don't be a d*ck.' Hmm, I think we all know who the latter part of that sentence is.
