5. Dreaming Of The Town's Former Glories

Morpeth Nights Out There's only so far a Wetherspoons, even one as good as The Electrical Wizard, can take you. It's hard looking at the plight of the town's nightlife today to think that it once was so thriving. There was a perfect amount of clubs for the size of the place that even went as far as attracting many hundreds of people from neighbouring areas. Aruba, Suburban, Shooters, HQ. There was quite literally something for everyone, and then some. Today we have pubs, pubs, more pubs, and The Comrades, a working mans club. Nothing more. Remember the good times you had in all of the clubs mentioned above, and the many more that have been missed out, then picture the state of play today, it all makes you weep, uncontrollably. As Andy Bernard famously said during the final episode of The US Office: "I wish there was a way to know that you're in 'the good old days' before you've actually left them..."
