Benedict Cumberbatch joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Doctor Strange, playing a downtrodden former neurosurgeon who becomes imbued with magical powers. That's right, the MCU is about to get magical nonsense to join its other nonsense (it'll fit in just fine). Cumberbatch should slot perfectly into the mix, and though director Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Day the Earth Stood Still) is a fairly soft choice for such a pivotal, potentially difficult movie, with a cast that includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel McAdams and Tilda Swinton, it's hard not to be excited. As for how Strange will actually get introduced to The Avengers ahead of Infinity War, who the hell knows?
