There were panels and demonstrations galore at this year's event with returning favourites taking to the stage and some new faces too.

Paul Harris was back to show fans how to duel like a wizard. Despite being a regular at the Harry Potter celebrations there were once again huge crowds to learn from the master. Even when it rained heavily on the final day, hundreds of fans showed up to learn how to battle.

MinaLima also returned, this time to discuss their work with Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Sunday's panel ended with a really special moment for inspiring graphic designers. MinaLima presented a signed print to one fan who quit his job to become a graphic designer. At the 2017 event he met the design duo and showed them his work. The pair were so impressed that they suggested that he was good enough to work in Graphic Design full time. He was so inspired that he now works on his passion full time.

Proof that if you work hard and believe in yourself that you can achieve your goals.

Other fan favourites such as the Dance Like a Beauxbaton and Battle Like a Durmstrang demonstration and the Harry Potter Knowledge Challenge also returned, but this year there were lots of brand new panelists to hear and learn from.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour returned to the event but this time with a talk from BAFTA winner John Richardson. A new panel for this year was CineConcerts – Sound & Image: The Magic Behind the Music which included a talk by those involved in the CineConcerts series but also a small performance by the Orchestra himself. Jany Temime, who designed costumes for many of the Harry Potter films also hosted a panel to discuss her work at the The Magic of Costumes in Harry Potter panel.

Next year is gonna need some special panels to top 2018.
