6 Reasons Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights 29 Is Amazing
3. Shows
This year Universal Orlando added an extra show to Halloween Horror Nights, making it the biggest event ever.
Halloween Marathon of Mayhem is a new show taking place on the lagoon and is quite frankly, amazing. Having sat through many a night time show in Orlando I can hands down say this is my favourite. There aren't any fireworks but you won't miss the pyro. The new show features lasers, fountains and projection to bring you a brilliant tribute to some of your favourite horror properties.
Last year the lagoon area was redeveloped to create an all new viewing area which gives the perfect place to watch the show. Halloween Marathon of Mayhem does what Universal does best, which is bring the movies to life.
HHN29 also saw the return of performance group Academy of Villains with their brand new show, Altered States.
The crew of Academy of Villains have once again created a spectacular show, performing moves that I wouldn't believe were humanly possible. Altered States is a Jekyll and Hyde story, perfect for HHN29 where we see the return of Universal Monsters. There was a trapeze artist, a contortionist and a gentleman whose football skills were so good I'm surprised he wasn't in Man City's starting lineup.
What I like most about Academy of Villains is that it isn't just a dance routine; they create a show with a storyline, characters and a fully impressive set. You can't help but be marvelled by the performers and their ability to carry out unbelievable athletic feats. I rarely take the time to watch shows in theme parks but I would pay extra just to see these guys.
You'd be remised to ignore the entertainment line up of HHN29 because you won't leave scared. You're going to leave thinking only thing, "wow".
