5. Modern Rooms

Universal describes Aventura as a Prime Value hotel, so there isn't an elaborate theme like there Italian inspired Portofino Bay or the Polynesian vibes of Royal Pacific. This hotel is clean and simple but is absolutely packed with technology.

The room comes with its own iPad that controls everything in your room. From the comfort of your bed you can control the lights, the air con and even order Pizza. I was having trouble receiving my answer messages so rather than heading down 14 floors and queuing up at Reception, I used the iPad's Chat function to sort my issue. The room's iPad could even change the tv channel and adjust the volume. If you prefer you can request a physical tv remote.

The lighting is modern and bright and the rooms come equipped with plenty of usb charger ports. Perfect if like me you have lots of electronics you want to charge. I loved the Bluetooth speaker that was available too.

The bathroom was small but bright and was equipped with a humongous shower. The sink was separate to the shower and toilet, making it handy if there are multiple people getting ready at the same time. There was also a full length mirror right at the door, perfect for making sure your Harry Potter cloak is on point before you head out for the day.

As with all of Universal's other resorts the bed is truly heavenly and thanks to being able to sign into my Netflix account through the in room iPad, I had real trouble wanting to leave the bed each morning.
